> Live in Canada - Citizenship via Immigration

Are you a foreigner who is looking to become a citizen of Canada? Canada’s immigration system is a generous immigration system that recognizes the importance of immigrants and their potential contribution to Canadian society. Keeping this in mind, Citizenship and Immigration Canada offers several different routes to seek entrance to Canada and to seek Permanent Residence in Canada.

The Best Place To Live Is Canada, Compared To The World. In their annual "liveability ranking" report, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) took a look at 140 cities across the globe, and no less than three Canadian locales are listed in the top five. Everybody knows about our free healthcare, clean and beautiful landscape, and the overall amazing quality of life that come with living in Canada.

Express Entry

Express Entry is an immigration system which selects skilled workers to Canada under Federal Economic programs. Applicants submit an online profile to the Express Entry Pool. The government issues invitations at regular intervals during the year. Express Entry came into operation on January 1, 2015. Express Entry is a new electronic management application system for immigration to Canada. It is not a new immigration program. Rather, it facilitates the selection and processing of Canada’s economic immigration programs. The target range for 2015 is between 260,000 and 285,000 new permanent residents, as tabled in the government’s annual immigration plan. Following are the pathways that you may choose:

  • The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW) applications are assessed based on an applicant's ability to become economically established upon immigration to Canada. There is no cap limit or specific occupation requirement which makes it more thrilling and exciting.
  • The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FTSC) will allow individuals with job offers or appropriate certification to work in certain occupations to obtain Canadian Permanent Residency in any Canadian Province or Territory other than Quebec. All NOC B level occupations will be eligible for this program. This amounts to a total of 90 eligible occupations.
  • The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration category for Canada's temporary foreign workers who wish to become Permanent Residents. Applicants can remain in Canada throughout the application process.
  • The Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) allows provinces to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province. Provincial Nomination is an important fast-track option for Canadian Permanent Residency. Each PNP is tailored to the province's/territory's specific needs to select nominees who will be able to settle into life and work in the region and to effectively contribute to the community.
